Marketing Partnership Manager

Status: Full-time, permanent

Location: Rockville, Maryland

Education: B.A. or B.S. in communications/journalism, business or health-related field. Technical degree in health care services, such as pharmacy, nursing, or hospital administration, preferred.

Experience:

  • At least 8 years of experience in developing partnerships, collaborations, and coalitions
  • Experience working on health policy issues that impact the delivery of healthcare at the local, State, or Federal level
  • In-depth understanding of healthcare services
  • Media relations and/or marketing experience with healthcare providers or health systems
  • Ability to plan and implement public-private partnerships around the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality's [AHRQ's] research products and successfully lead multiple partners through the intricacies of collaborating with a Federal health research agency
  • Ability to advise health researchers and technical experts on outreach strategies
  • Superior interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Oral presentation experience
  • Excellent team player who is a well-organized self-starter and who can generate enthusiasm and rally researchers, clinicians, and private-sector professionals toward common project goals

Responsibilities:

  • Generate innovative public-private partnership and marketing strategies to help translate and implement AHRQ-funded research in the most appropriate health care settings
  • Implement partnership outreach activities and tactics; develop and drive public/private sector collaborations to expedite the implementation of AHRQ's research tools and products
  • Supervise consultants and technical experts as requested
  • Create collateral public affairs materials, including marketing plans and marketing promotional pieces, press releases, talking points, Q&As, and strategic guidance materials as requested
  • Develop content expertise as needed by working with the AHRQ researchers and industry experts to facilitate research implementation and knowledge transfer to AHRQ's stakeholder audiences
