Home News MasiMax's Hearts & Hands Committee Continues to Make a Difference
MasiMax's Hearts & Hands Committee is diligently maintaining its schedule of events that make a difference to countless individuals and organizations. This community outreach group regularly organizes and recruits co-workers for many charitable events, such as blood drives; campaigns to provide food, clothing, and supplies to underserved families; and programs to provide gifts to children during the holiday season. Committee members also participate in AIDS Walk Washington, collections for interfaith clothing centers, and the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women Day. MasiMax employees also raised pledges for and participated in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer and the Susan B. Komen Race for the Cure.
Members of the Hearts & Hands Committee and other MasiMax employees participated in the Adopt-A-Family program by collecting food items and money that provided Thanksgiving dinner and a gift certificate redeemable at Giant Food Stores for a family of seven. They also have given joy and presents to some very ill and deserving children at the National Children's Medical Center. Committee members and other MasiMax employees also have participated in 5K runs for autism and other causes.
