MasiMax Named National Capital Business Ethics Award Semi-Finalist

MasiMax Resources, Inc. was announced as a 2007 National Capital Business Ethics Awards semi-finalist. Over 100 nominations were submitted for the 2007 awards, and MasiMax was named as one of five semi-finalists in the medium-size business category (100 to 250 employees).

The National Capital Business Ethics Awards are presented annually by the National Capital Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals in conjunction with George Mason University, and recognize companies that have demonstrated integrity, civic and social responsibility, and business excellence. An independent panel of judges from business, academia, public service, media, and consulting evaluate the entries and select the finalists and winners.

Entries submitted for consideration in the National Capital Business Ethics Awards program are judged on criteria such as a demonstration of commitment to business ethics by the CEO and other senior officers; a corporate code of ethics that clearly communicates the company’s requirement for honesty, integrity, and compliance with the law in all business dealings; and, a means for ethical problems to be brought to the attention of management and a mechanism for fair and consistent resolution for involved parties.
