MasiMax Welcomes New IT Director

Roland Weeks, P.M.P., a leader in the information technology arena, joined the MasiMax Resources, Inc. team as the Director of Information Technology Services. Mr. Weeks brings more than 15 years of software development and management, systems analysis and design, and network management and systems support experience to the company and will lead the information technology initiatives for MasiMax out of the Rockville, MD, office.

"Roland will be instrumental in maintaining MasiMax's leadership role in the convergence of information technology and information dissemination," says Scott Crocket, Vice President of Communication Services at MasiMax. "Roland brings a strong background in industry and project management that will assist all business areas in improving on a strong record of efficiency and quality in service delivery."

Previously, as the Development Manager for Z-Tech Corporation, where he directed the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention contract, Mr. Weeks administered technical development projects through the full life cycle, including the successful transfer of an Intranet-based multiapplication portal from a contractor-hosted to remotely managed server. He has led teams of developers, designers, analysts, testers, trainers, and other experts at the University of Maryland, the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, APPTIS, and Snyder Communications/HAVAS Advertising. For a U.S. Department of State contract, Mr. Weeks managed a passport information system used worldwide for access to data and image information as well as for the operational processing of Washington, D.C., passport information.

Mr. Weeks has experience working with commercial, municipal, and Federal clients on Intranet, software, and database development and design; transitioning Web sites between hosting providers; administering and developing automated and ad hoc application systems; and overall infrastructure and software support. He has a B.S. from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a certificate in decision and information sciences from the Maryland Business School. Mr. Weeks was also recognized as a Project Management Professional in 2005 by the Project Management Institute.
